Yes, inspiration was gleaned from the movie theater with the family this past weekend. I try to pull inspiration from real life, and Kung Fu Panda 3 is my real life.
Master Sheefu shared this knowledge with Po regarding Po's failure as a teacher. Without spoiling the movie for you in case you have family that want to go see this, it's worth the watch.
This wisdom hit home for me. It seems daily that my limits of comfort professionally, personally and as a parent are tested. I strive for a comfortable flow of doing things I know how to do. Yet every day I am pushed into something that I don't know exactly how to do it...especially parenting, but also as a business women. And even in cooking.
But as Master Sheefu says, I can't expect to become more than what I already know if I continue to only do what I know I can. I won't get stronger at Crossfit if I don't test the limits and try something new. I am forced daily to grow out of my comfort zone as my kids' needs change. Even in publishing this book, I can't reach more people if I don't go beyond where I am comfortable.
I seek comfort in doing what I know I can, but I certainly can't become more than what I am if I don't try something new.
Thank you Master Sheefu for encouraging me to greater effort.
