This is my quick go to homemade turkey jerky. It isn't the BEST source, but I find that the ingredients are better than most other jerky out there. We use this for travel or days when meal prep is difficult.
1 package of Kirkland brand Honey Roasted Turkey Breast from Costco
Dehydrator with trays
Place slices on dehydrator trays. Set to low and dehydrate until just entirely translucent. Takes approximately 3 hours on low, but it will vary depending on your dehydrator settings. You can use the oven if you can get it to a low enough setting that isn't cooking, but I have never been able to accomplish this. Store in airtight container in refrigerator. It will hold out of refrigerator as well when traveling. We have stored ours for up to 2 weeks, but it generally goes faster than that.
Remove. Replace. Restore.
Remove additives and sugars that are often in prepackaged jerky.
Replace with homemade "better" versions.
Eat well. Move well. Sleep well. Thrive on.
